This stunning one of a kind antique writing bureau has been finished using a custom mixed wood stain to give a beautiful rich oak tone, finished with a satin varnish which reflects light beautifully, protects the wood and is incredibly durable.It is a truly classic piece with intricate details throughout, with the floral fabric detail lining the drawers and side panels, the stunning burred walnut veneer and the original brass handles.The leather writing pad has been repainted using specialist leather paint to recolour any areas that have faded over time and bring it back to life.This piece has been refinished, however, you can still expect some signs of its age, only adding to its character and a nod to its rich history.
 
This piece has been inspired by the Kings recent release of his film, Finding Harmony, a Kings vision, and more specifically the dress code of the premiere, being 'rewear, repair, recycle'.  The Highgrove bureau embodies this message perfectly, and the Kings work over the years, championing sustainability, the natural world and craft.
